Right now at 11 00, two grieving families and a major investigation. Deadly legioneers infection linked to a spa in richmond. That spa operating without the proper permits. Reporter she wasnt ready to go on camera. But she is heartbroken and angry. She visited the spa with her husband and a week later, he died in her arms. She didnt get sick because she had to survive for their children. A father of five is one of two victims that recently died of legionnaires disease, following a visit t this richmond spot, that is closed. If they dont have a health permit, that means that we dont know if theyre operating in a healthy and safe manner. Reporter the victims widow was with her husband the day they visited the zen day spa. Her husband was admitted into a hospital where he spent six days before passing on tuesday. She was never infected. Contra costa county health says they are taken water samples from the source.
