The indictment is connected to the special counsels investigation into the january 6 insurrection and the former president due in court, though, that could happen as early as this week. Former President Donald Trump is now facing his 3rd indictment this time relating to his role in the january 6 attack at the capitol. The indictment alleges that the former president knowingly and repeatedly spread lies about the Election Results and 70 states. Another federal grand jury has indicted former President Donald Trump charging Donald J Trump conspiring to defraud the United States. Conspiring to disenfranchise voters. And conspiring and attempting to obstruct an official proceeding. The Justice Department says the investigation led by special counsel jack smith found evidence of crimes committed by trump during the lead up to the january 6 attack at the u. S. Capitol. It was fueled by lies. Lies by the defendant. Targeted at obstructing a bedrock function of the u. S. Government. Even before the indictments released trump attack smith and the Justice Department saying the cases are politically motivated to hurt his campaign for a second president ial term. The new indictment is separate from the charges trump faces in a alleged mishandling of classified documents and a potential indictment in georgia for trumps alleged attempts to overturn the states 2020 Election Results. Special counsel jack smith says the department of justice is seeking a speedy trial. The former president is expected to appear in a Dc Federal Court on thursday. People need a new place to call home tonight after a building under construction caught fire damaging of the homes. This was in san hayes valley neighborhood. It all unfolded early this morning at the intersection of octavia boulevard and oak street. Thats where we find kron fours rob nesbitt with the latest. This is the Apartment Building behind me that caught on fire. You can see the scaffolding from the building because this was under construction and that scaffolding is barely standing. Its a hazard to the streets and sidewalk below. Residents in San Franciscos hayes valley were woken up Tuesday Morning to this where the noise is. Commotion going an entire Apartment Building on octavia boulevard on fire. The heat from the flames was Strong Enough to crack windows across the street. Have trucks, lots of noise outside. And then really just the it was the color of the light through the windows and the heat against the windows. The building was under construction. So no one was living inside at the time and no injuries reported.
