Yeah, were expected to hear by 8. 30, this morning. A crowd was will tran is live in san jose with the latest. Good morning. Well, they will find out as far as city hall management and the mayor, they will find out in 2 and a half hours now, whether at 9, 4500 workers will decide to walk off the job. They did the voting last week and in 2 and a half hours from now, they will release the results. Currently, the workers are working without a contract for the past month. They are looking for a pay raise, claiming theyre overworked and underpaid to the point where there are hundreds of vacancies and that forces him to work overtime hours when they dont want to work overtime hours in many cases and when they are working, they claim theyre not getting paid fairly. When you consider other cities that they claim a lot of workers coming into san jose get that valuable experience and then take all that experience with them other cities and then give all of that experience to them. Instead of staying here in san jose, were talking 911, dispatchers librarians city workers that possibly could be walking off the job right now. The 2 sides are about 20 Million Dollars part, weve got a chance to talk to san joses mayor. Heres what he had to say. That needs to be done. If the contract is reached. Its possible that revenue will come in higher than expected in which case i think we should offer workers an automatic trigger and say we will. Hey, more will will be able to go a little higher than we expected. If the revenues there, we can do it without Cutting Services or taking on debt and unfunded liabilities as weve done in the past. And frankly paid quite a price for do it. So right now the city of san jose is offering their workers 5 for the first year and goes down a little bit with each passing year. But you just heard the mayor say they dont know what their budget projection is and if they get more money, then they could possibly get more money in that deal could be restructured right now, even if they decide to go on strike james and area, they have not given at date when that would possibly be and it will not be an indefinite strike where 2 sides will still be at the bargaining table and nobody goes back to work. Instead, it will be a threeday strike. Back to interesting. Okay.
