Senator Dianne Feinstein return to her hometown for the final time on saturday. A plane from the president s military fleet carried her body back to San Francisco international airport. She died in her washington, d. C. , home thursday night at the age of 90, it was just hours after she cast her final vote misses. Feinstein. Representative Mike Thompson whose district includes parts of napa contra costa and solano counties says it was an honor and a pleasure working with senator feinstein who is always available. She was quick to criticize the governors decision saying, quote, the idea that a black woman should be appointed only as a caretaker to simply check a box is insulting to countless black women, end quote, usf politics. Professor james taylor says appointing lee now would be a way of acknowledging the work black democrats did during the 2020 president ial election. Theres a sense of being slighted here. And how did you get your start in the art world . I actually love art since i was a little kid and and i find out when i was 10 years old i won a backpack through. All so thats when i feel like, you know, i i can make money and get and and then my not to 2016, thats when quit my and i want to art for leaving. So thats when everything started and and ive been living my dream says in the morning . Well, i i think, you know, every morning i wake up so happy to just create what the next project, you know, and and and i get emails and for to collaborate with people and to do programs have fans sometimes, you know, i do. These Works University of francisco or Santa Clara University local colleges. And that inspire me. You know, im ready to inspire the community. And thats thats something that wake me up in the morning. And im so happy to go into it. You know, your work is so moving and so many different ways. Tell us about the message that you hope to convey to people who see your work. Okay. You know people see my work. I think, you know, i want people to also feel something like, i won. I dont know. Shun and motions yet. So i i see people one day. See my work. The site create different are depends my mood depends. What happened in my life will happen in the world and some people ranges. But looking at you know, this time laughing, too. I dont know that emotions. Thats when you know its working. Know that, you know, this is this is working. You know, some challenges that you think are facing the hispanic and Latino Community today that you really hope to. You know, people will address that. The public i the challenges at the lake, Latino Community, sometimes come out come from challenges about opportunities. Its hard for us to to get those big opportunities. But im not thinking like that. Im just say im an approve of that. We can do it, you know, and i want to inspire others to just never give up and keep keep working hard. And be able to follow their dreams as well. Like im living. My dream you can do it too. Just never give up is just like we for us and a little harder. But its okay. You know, just keep going.
