It hits the bay bridge, but hes looking golden. The bay bridge is looking like the golden gate all looks good out there right now. What a nice day. It was a cold start the day. The afternoon. Not so bad this weekend. Weve got some fire issues. Weve got fire danger risks as well see some extremely strong gusty winds, the strongest, gusty, offshore winds weve seen of the season. So the good news is is that we have some rain already, but we havent have a real big rain event. So that kind of leaves the door open. Should a fire get started . We could still see some problems with some fires. So as we head to the weekend right now, clears can be around the bay area, looking good out there toward the golden gate bridge. I want to give you a look at the winds will roya forward to saturday and as we get into a saturday evening, you start to see those offshore winds begin to blow out of the northnortheast. See some of the strong winds over the mountain peaks but really ramps up overnight saturday night into early on sunday morning right around 04 00am or so on sunday morning or start look at gusts 40 miles an hour the mountain tops in my experience to go in probably lot storm and that the ridges here, maybe some 50, maybe even some 60 mile an hour gusts over the mountain tops. The strongest gusts are going to be the north bay mountains. It will be gusty still over parts of the east bay and many of the ridges. But i think the strongest over the mountain tops in the north bay. And then as we head in towards sunday, theres going to start to back off. But its still going to be a blustery afternoon. So fire danger is going to be elevated through that period. Not only are we going to see those gusty winds but to go along with you, get those offshore winds and you get some very dry conditions. Look at the humidity drop. Thats the amount of moisture in the atmosphere thats going to fall off as we head in toward a the evening on saturday. Youre starting to down to the teens and that will continue to decrease overnight into sunday morning. Maybe all the way down the single digits. So getting some very dry air settling a National Weather services issued fire weather watch. This will likely become a red flag warning as we head in toward tomorrow. But you can see all the bridges around the bay area from the south bay, the east and the north bay elevated fire danger throughout the weekend. Guys finally calming down as we head toward monday. All right, lawrence. And yeah, theyre saying be careful. Thats the message as well. From the National WeatherService Starting saturday through the weekend. Thats because of that fire weather watch for a large area that includes several cities around the bay area. Heres a map of just how extensive that fire watch area is. Hi, ken and vicki, were up here at mount time right with a fire station and it is remarkably beautiful up here. But it is also a reminder of the scenery behind me of how fragile it is. And that is why we all need to be careful with this fire weather watch. Watch this kind of just, you know, watch out where were seeing the conditions possible. A red flag warning would be you know, were expecting those conditions are there in. Dont bear injure with the National Weather service says with high winds and gusts expected in the upper elevations stretching from the Santa Cruz Mountains to the east bay and north bay. Nows the time to practice caution. You know, really the biggest concern right now, our Higher Elevations above about 1000 feet or so. Thats where the winds will be, the strongest and the humidity will be the driest. There is a slight that those winds could come down into the valleys. Its going to be a breezy day, no matter what. But, you know, were were keeping an eye on that. And its something that were watching. If we need to extend that into the valleys or not. For a fire weather watch were really on standby for the National Weather service declared a red flag warning once thats a clear, then we reevaluate and station possibly more firefighters within specific areas county. Madi ochoa is the spokesperson with the marin county fire department. I met with her at the throckmorton fire station. The station is situated in a crucial location to respond to wildfires in the southern and wes moore in coast ochoas says with winds of 15 to 30 miles an hour and gusts 30 40 miles an hour, the public can make a difference in these conditions. We want the public to know is that this weather contributes to fire ignition. And so precautions that they could take is avoiding. Opened fire inside of the barbecues. Dont use any power tools and definitely making sure theres kind of further local Emergency Alert on a limb or and g. And we have all of that on kron 4 dot com. So again, bottom line to try, make a difference and do the best you can so that we can safely navigate this time period here on mount tam theresa stasi. Back to you guys. Thank you.
