Authorities first reported this fire around 8 oclock this evening near 27th and west streets. They just confirmed 10 minutes ago. The situation is under control. The Oakland Fire Department posted this video from the scene earlier tonight. Those flames erupted at singlefamily home and a church. The home is now considered a total loss. The church suffered some significant damage, as you can see here. Both buildings were empty at the time of the fire. So no one was hurt. The cause is under investigation. Investigation is underway in san jose after a city contractor was found dead at san joses Animal Care Center this morning, San Jose Police say jose fire and cal osha are all looking into exactly what happened. The Animal Care Center was closed all day today, but plans to reopen for normal activities tomorrow. The only thing they say is that pets were not involved in this incident. So it was a lot on my plate. But i did know that with a nurse coming to the home in my sacred space, my humble home that i felt supported. But yeah, well start to cool things down right along the immediate coastline. First is kind of a thin marine layer. So cooler temperatures out toward the beaches and just inside the bay still got to stay warm to hot in many places inland talking upper 80s in the south bay, maybe some low 90s. The warmest spots. Yeah. Still some sizzling temperatures out there in areas. But overnight tonight that patchy fog that theyre going to stretch inside the bay early tomorrow morning. Then as we head throughout the day, that feels right away back toward the coastline. Only the surge stronger on shore by tomorrow afternoon. And i think even more fog as we head in toward mothers day. All that being said tomorrow is going to be a nice day, but cooler in spots about 62 degrees into the 70s like downtown San Francisco today.
