Ktvus Azenith Smith joins us now. Shes at levis stadium. Its 10 00. Is the band still playing . Reporter yes. The band is still on stage. You can see the crowd behind me and you can hear the concert. The band took to the stage around 10 minutes before 9 00 this evening. They were expected to be on by 8 30. This he they have 19 songs on its play list. No surprise the band is breaking the curfew of 10 p. M. As many other performers have done in the past. The crowd started cheering when the Rolling Stones hit the stage at 8 52 this evening, part of its north american tour. The concert was originally scheduled for saturday, may 18th when the curfew was 11 p. M. The tour was postponed after singer mick jagger had heart surgery. This is video from an earlier show. The curfew has been a contentiousish through between the city of santa clara and the San Francisco 49ers who manage the stadium. City leaders are concerned with noise complaints from neighbors since tomorrow is a school and workday for most. The 49ers insist the 10 p. M. Work night curfew is unrealistic. Fans we spoke to tonight were mixed. I would be really disappointed if he didnt go over because this is huge for the area and its not like this is a residential area. If he goes past 10 00 at night, maybe to 10 30 or 11 p. M. , i dont think hes disturbing anybody. Hes a Living Legend and i think its deserving of an exception for this. You need to play to your neighbors. You need to play nice. If youre not playing nice, then you wont have the events and the i guess the attendance and you wont have those major personalities show up. Reporter part of this group bought tickets back in december and for two seats with a limited view they tell me they paid 600. They didnt mind. They just wanted to be part of the excitement. The band is not the first to break curfew. Beyonce, u2, cold play. Theyve all done. It i reached out to the 49ers and the mayofor comment. I have not heard back, but in the past the 49ers have been fined up to 1,000 for the violation. Amber, are there homes in that area . I was at Great America last night and as you come down Great America parkway, all you see are office buildings, but are there homes tucked behind levis stadium . Reporter yes. On the backside of the stadium there is a neighborhood that weve been to before who have complained about noise from not only concerts, but from the games and they have expressed their concern. The area is mostly industrial, though. You do see a lot of office complexes, but there are neighbors who are concerned and thats who the city leaders are thinking about when they made this curfew. Im just wondering, we can see how far you are from the stadium, how loud is the sound where you are . Reporter i heard louder concerts i have to admit. I know the beyonce concert was pretty loud. This one is okay. Its still loud. I know that a concert is going on, so i can imagine if there are folks trying to sleep, it can be bothersome, but it has been louder in the past. All right. Azenith smith outside levis stadium now where the Rolling Stones are still playing, thank you. The man accused of violently attacking a woman outside her condo complex in San Francisco is due back in court tomorrow. The public defender released this new picture of Austin Vincent showing him in a suit and he looks very different from his mugshot which was taken on the night of his arrest. He has also been placed in a Supportive Program to help him find temporary housing. Reporter the Navigation Center is expected to be built right behind the fence across the embarcadero, but there are passionate and emotional calls to stop this project from moving forward. A terrifying attack that replays in the victims mind and on her screen. I keep watching that video thinking that who is that girl . I dont even know. Reporter that girl is paneez. This is Mental Illness and youre putting them right next to our house. How can you put us in that danger . Reporter the 26yearold joined by members of safe embarcadero for all spoke at a News Conference sunday. They want the city to reconsider building the 200 bed center on bryant street and the embarcadero citing an increase in crime since construction began. Its irresponsible to build a 200bed shelter which the city admits will house active drug users and the mentally ill in the middle of 10,000 residents when the city is unable to insure our safety. Reporter a spokesperson for mayor london breed issued a statement regarding the concern. It reads in part, the data shows there is no link between the creation of a Navigation Center and an increase in crime in the surrounding area. Allowing people to continue to suffer on the street without providing resources will only make the challenges we face more severe. The mayors goal is to open 1,000 new shelter beds across the city and strengthen the Mental Health system, but this group filed a lawsuit and a temporary restraining order and says the city needs a new plan. I have one hope and thats for the city to take action and make us feel safe. San francisco supervisor matt haney represents this neighborhood. He released a statement saying he is outraged by the attack, but he also said, Navigation Centers are a critical proven tool to get thousands of people off the streets and into services and housing and enhance Public Safety for all of our residents. I had a very good meeting with tim cook. Reporter speaking to reporters sunday as he returned to the white house, the president said cook made a compelling argument with the impact tariffs would have on apple. Reporter but the protests have transformed now into a call for more freedom from beijing which include a complete withdrawal from the extradition bill, the right to elect hong kongs leaders and investigations into police use of force. An airport sitin last week canceled hundreds of flights and then there were reports of protesters attacking police and men from china.
