When they recount what happened here last night. The woman and the dog did not survive this fire. The father is still in the hospital in lifethreatening condition. It was around 2 00 this morning when firefighters got the call about a fire at this house with two people trapped inside. Neighbors heard the commotion and they rushed to try to help. People yelling get out. Everything filled with smoke. We ran to the back to get the daughter out. She was screaming and i was screaming camilla, come out to the back door. I went to the back door and hopped over the fence. I couldnt open it. The door was warm. Now, firefighters were able to enter the burning home and bring out the woman and her father. Paramedics performed cpr but the woman died from her injuries at the hospital. The dog also died in the fire. Neighbors say the young woman had just started law school at the university of San Francisco this past fall. Her mother had died of cancer several several years ago so it was only the daughter and father living here when this happened. Earlier this morning, we saw some neighbors respectfully remove some of the victims family photos from the debris file in front of the house. Overnight, firefighters had to remove burnt degree from the homes living room to clear the way for fire investigators to go in today. Once the sun came up, personal family photos were visible and exposed to the rains. Neighbors were gathering those items in order to save and return them and give them to some of the victims extended family members. Investigators are inside the home.
