Police in San Francisco are asking for information on a shooting where a 29yearold woman was wounded in the tenderloin. Police have not given us any information about a possible suspect yet. There is a new development in a different shooting. It happened earlier this week in the tenderloin. Please have never covered the gray van used monday afternoon in a driveby shooting on leavenworth where five people were hurt. Police are asking for witnesses in either shooting to please come forward. The time is 4 15. We are one week away from the fourth of july. The illegal fireworks have been going off around the country for the past several weeks. In denver, colorado, police confiscated an arsenal of fireworks. Look at this. There were also several guns. This came from one home. Police say the person who lived in the home planned to resell more than 10,000 worth of fireworks. Depending on the markup and secondary cell of that, it would probably be significantly more than that. Because of the significant amount of firepower involved, the epa was called in to remove the fireworks. In the bay area, the contra costadepartment is concerned about illegal fireworks ahead of fourth of july. They have seen 12 fires this month alone. That is four times the usual number. Authorities remind people that all fireworks are illegal in contra costa county. People who use them are putting themselves and their neighbors at risk. They are all dangerous to all of us. Anyone of those could be the firework that sparks a disastrous wildfire that caput lives, and certainly, homes, and grievous risk. Experts say children and adults are most likely to be hurt. County officials made the official decision to close the beaches because people were ignoring orders to stay away. Our reporter has the story of the opening. Reporter the Santa Cruz Health department has lifted restrictions on its biggest attraction. The beach closure will end at midnight. Reporter by their own admission, it was not what they wanted. The previous plan did not call for a lifting until after what is traditionally one of the biggest beach weekends of the year. We hoped to continue the beach closer until after the fourth of july weekend. Reporter there was pressure to lift the twomonth ban, but allow people access to swim in the water or exercise, not lounge or sunbathe. The bowling alley, the arcade, things are targeted to tourists and inside, much of the community started to feel like there wasnt a rational basis for keeping beaches closed anymore. Reporter this Facebook Group what started to threaten to sue if ages were not opened. The Handicapped Parking has not been accessible for the majority of the county beaches. The second issue has been the sedentary law on the beaches.
