Here is a look at what we are expecting for the afternoon. Poor air quality with an onshore breeze coming in and will improve things in some areas. That will cool us down and bring up our relative humidity. It will also increase our wind, which could be a challenge for firefighters. When i come back, i will have what you can expect. How are those highways doing this morning . It is crowded at the bay bridge toll plaza. Right now i can see it, and you can see it too. If you were driving into San Francisco, we have the normal crap going with no major issues. Traffic is looking pretty good. We can check out the san mateo bridge where that traffic is moving along nicely. We are starting with breaking news on californias biggest wild fire. It is the lmu fire complex. Reporter this fire exploded in size and burned several homes in vacaville. Im going to take you live where we have a photographer on English Hills road. This is the scene along there. This area is full of home. People have animals like goats and horses. This morning, there is not much left. All of those homes have burned to the ground. The fire exploded in size yesterday making a run from napa valley to Sonoma County. Flames jumped interstate 80 between vacaville and fairfield. They had to close a stretch of the highway. Ktvu is a Fairfield High School yesterday evening that was used as an Evacuation Center until the high school lost power. Hundreds were seeking shelter there including many elderly people. This is a very bad day. The whole sky looked different and everything this is the real deal. Tomorrow i could come home and everything is gone. I see the airplane dropping the powder and the water. I am hoping that can save our home. My daughter opened the door, and i could smell it. I have asthma. Reporter mother 100 structures have been destroyed and more than 25,000 homes are threatened today. There will be gusty winds and several fires making runs in multiple directions. Air tankers are dropping retardant on the flames. The lightning complex fires are burning and solano, Sonoma County and lake county. New Evacuation Orders are in effect. He was a vacaville based trouble man who died while helping First Responders. According to cal fire, four civilian injuries have been reported in these fires. We learned that a wildfire burning along the Central Coast went from 25,000 acres to 40,000 acres. That is larger than oakland or San Francisco. The ccu august lightning fires are burning in parts of san mateo and santa cruz counties. Additional an Evacuation Orders. The fire was very active. Overnight, it became even more active. We had significant burning conditions that were unprecedented. 20,000 people have been evacuated from this region. Authorities are asking people to comply with the order and leave immediately. It stands for san Mateo Santa Cruz cal fire agency battling these flames. Another wildfire and an overnight an Evacuation Order to Stanislaus County between the Santa Clara County line and interstate 5. This is called the sbu stretching from the east bay to the south bay. It is name for the santa clara fire unit. These fires have earned 102,000 acres in parts of santa clara, alameda, san joaquin and stanislaus counties. It is only 5 contained.
