Ktvu south bay reporter Lamonica Peters has details on his treatment. Randy strauss is the attorney who represented former San Jose Police officer Nabeel Haider, who sued the department in 2018. Haider was born in lebanon and is a practicing muslim who joined the force in 1996. After the nine divided by 11 attacks. He started to be. Targeted and attacked by fellow Police Officers because he was a muslim from the middle east. And what i mean is almost daily basis, he was called names really disgusting names like terrorist or suicide bomber, member of isis. The complaint says in 2003, when the United States invaded iraq, harassed, meant towards haider, escalated. He says he was repeatedly harassed during briefing meetings, even though he served in the United States military. Haider says on veterans day 2017, during a meeting, a captain called him an isis veteran, and everyone burst into laughter for nabeel. That was really the breaking point. Thats when he realized that he would never fit in with this group of guys and women, that he was an outsider. He was another after leaving the force and filing a lawsuit, strauss says San Jose Police claimed haider participated in the jokes and called it locker room banter in response to the settlement. The shooting happened near west third and a street yesterday morning. Officers were investigating a suspicious car when they noticed the man inside had a gun. They say they fired their guns and hit him after he ran away. The suspect who was wanted for a homicide in antioch earlier this year was taken to the hospital where he was treated for his injuries. Antioch police along with the district Attorneys Office, are investigating. Times now for 34. San Francisco Police arrested a man accused of stabbing four people along market street. Now, Police Rushed to reports of an assault at yesterday morning near market and battery around the same time. Another report came in of a stabbing at fourth and market. Thats where police found three people whod been stabbed, all four stabbing victims were taken to the hospital all this morning. We dont know their conditions. One man has been arrested for both incidents. One person is in the hospital with life threatening injuries after being stabbed just outside the gates of six flags. Discovery kingdom in vallejo. Crews responded to the fire at about 7 00 yesterday morning and had it contained about an hour later. Crockett fire says the person who died lived at the house on lillian street, but the persons name has not been released. Still, no word on what caused the fire.
