Ky. business owners react to new capacity restrictions Kentucky businesses can increase capacity By Brooke Buckner | March 5, 2021 at 5:34 PM CST - Updated March 5 at 5:40 PM PADUCAH, Ky. (KFVS) - Starting on Friday, March 5, some Kentucky businesses can operate at 60 percent capacity. That’s an increase from 50 percent. Businesses include restaurants, salons and fitness centers. ”I think everybody’s ready to get back to normal, but we’re getting there step-by-step, little-by-little,” said restaurant owners Laura and Sean Strickland. Laura and Shawn Strickland own Strickland’s Seafood. They said the capacity increase doesn’t impact their restaurant. “The 6 feet apart requirement; you can’t put any tables closer together,” Laura Strickland said.
