L.A. County Board Could Remove Elected Sheriff — If V

Measure A, on the ballot for the November General Election 2022, calls for empowering the Los Angeles County Board of Supervisors to remove a sitting, voter-elected sheriff with a minimum 4-1 majority. Members of the board have clashed with current Sheriff Alex Villanueva, who recently ordered the raid of Supervisor Sheila Kuehl's home.
