Boards are all the rage right now. Cheese boards, meat trays, platters of pickled stuff — even this abomination! I’ve seen multiple opportunities to learn how to assemble these boards for parties or gifts, but an upcoming event hosted by Nelson’s Green Brier Distillery is the first one I’ve discovered that will actually teach you how to debark, sand and oil your very own live-edge charcuterie board.
The workshop will be held in The Oak Room at the distillery from 6:30 until 8:30 p.m. on Friday, May 28. Your class fee of $140 entitles you to a specialty cocktail, flight tastings, a lesson on the distillery’s role in Tennessee whiskey history and a guided tasting with one of Nelson’s Whiskey Ambassadors.
