Learning about R industries Share article: THIS week we hear from QPR fan Bryan Fisher who discusses his interesting career path in testing. I am retired now but I have been fortunate in my past careers. I left school in 1970 to become a 'Computer Operator - Trainee' at Brunel University when large mainframes had only 32k memory, before moving on eventually to work for British Airways on their Real Time Reservations System (with over 22,000 users worldwide). I progressed up the ranks over nine years to supervise others, with the last few years before leaving in 1984 managing a shift of Data Network Controllers.
