Letter: Environmental issues should shame us all Evansville Courier & Press The April 9th edition of the Courier & Press was loaded with stories regarding environmental threats we face as a society. Drought, carbon dioxide levels at their highest in 3.6 million years, a new "physics rulebook," discarded PPE masks threatening sea life and the assault on Hoosier wetlands by the Indiana Legislature. Meanwhile, we also read about the Indiana officials nixing net metering which incentivizes greater rooftop solar in the state. Add to that, the effort to strip liability away from a start up company that wants to build carbon dioxide storage underground near the Wabash Fault zone using federal subsidies for funding.
