Letter: Heed climate change warnings By Anne Engstrom, Seattle Share: We can put rovers on Mars! We should be able to upgrade and improve our power grids and keep the lights on. Unfortunately Texas administrators didn’t pay attention to the warning they received in the last 10 years that climate change can bring freezing weather and they need to winterize. Thanks to deregulation, huge swaths of people are without power and water. This costs Americans billion of dollars and too many lives. We all have been warned about climate change for over 30 years, but have we done anything about it? We have nine years left to make a huge change.
