Light display in West Goshen benefits West Chester Food Cupb

WEST GOSHEN — A major health scare couldn’t stop Jim Whalen of 5 S. Concord Road from setting up a massive display of Christmas lights as has he has for the past 21 years.
The doctors don’t know why Whalen’s heart stopped beating twice on Oct. 15, but Whalen and all the “elves” are happy to show off 24 inflatables, Santa and his sleigh and a huge American flag in the Whalens' front yard.
A collection box sits outside and visitors have been encouraged for the past three years to deposit non-perishable foods in it for the West Chester Food Cupboard.
