Health Secretary Matt Hancock made the announcement in the House of Commons on Wednesday as a new variant of covid-19 spreads across the country. Teesside has been in the 'Very High' tier 3 level since the end of the national lockdown at the start of December, meaning the closure of hospitality venues and tight restrictions on households mixing
