Local groups collaborate on Hatcher Park restoration project

A collection of government bodies and private organizations marked Earth Day by kicking off planning work on a major environmental restoration project that aims to transform a badly damaged wetlands area at Gary’s Hatcher Park and nearby areas back into a haven for native bird species and provide Gary residents with outdoor recreation space.
