Local homeless programs receive $7M federal boost

WORCESTER — Central Massachusetts Housing Alliance Continuum of Care plans to use $7.2 million it received recently from the federal government to support 21 programs providing homeless assistance at CMHA,. 
According to Leah Bradley, CMHA executive director, the programs include two-year transitional housing programs and permanent supportive housing programs for persons who are homeless, as well as other non-housing projects, such as Homeless Management Information System, relevant assessment, and coordination by gathering important data to inform and shape homeless prevention services and policy.
