London polishes up its hotels and event venues as it gears up for return to business London & Partners have provided an update on the new hotels entering the city’s market, and highlights some of the venues which have used the downtime to refurbish: London’s MICE industry is getting ready to reopen, with several new hotels due to enter the market and many existing venues confirming refurbishments. The events industry is worth £23bn (US$32bn) to London’s economy, and is the largest contributor to the UK’s overall £70bn sector value, when looking at pre-Covid figures. Several international hotel brands have chosen London for their first venture into the European hotel market, with NoMad London, Mondrian Shoreditch and Pan Pacific London all to open in the first half of the year. London is also set to play host to the world’s first super boutique with the highly anticipated opening of The Londoner by the Edwardian Hotel Group (pictured).
