WAUKESHA - Don Taylor, who served a quarter century as president of Waukesha State Bank, certainly didn't always wax nostalgic about his past role in one of the city's most impactful and historic financial institutions. "I can't say I miss anything about it," Taylor said while joining in a discussion about the bank's 75th anniversary celebration in 2019. Maybe that's partly because Taylor — who served as WSB president from 1969 to 1994 and worked at some capacity at the bank since its inception in 1944, helping modernize the bank's operations in the computer-driven era that helped secure its future — didn't center his life strictly on the banking business.
