Several Memorial Day activities are scheduled around town this Monday, May 31. 12:05 pm, May 28, 2021 × FARGO Several patriotic ceremonies will take place around the community this Monday, May 31, for Memorial Day. A news release said events are planned by the Fargo VFW and American Legion at 8:30 a.m. at Holy Cross Cemetery and 10:30 a.m. at Riverside Cemetery including a ceremony at 11 a.m., as well as a program at noon at Sunset Memorial Gardens and an event at 1 p.m. at Lindenwood Park s 164th Infantry and submariners monuments. AMVETS are planning events at 7:30 a.m. at Fargo s northside Jewish cemetery, as well as at 8 a.m. at North Holy Cross Cemetery, 11 a.m. at Riverside South Fargo Cemetery and 12:30 p.m. at Sunset Cemetery. ....

Maybe that s partly because Taylor who served as WSB president from 1969 to 1994 and worked at some capacity at the bank since its inception in 1944, helping modernize the bank s operations in the computer-driven era that helped secure its future didn t center his life strictly on the banking business. ....

Prairie Ave. The main building has been closed to the public since new cemetery Director Lee Kelley noticed the problem. The mice infestation issue is already under control, and plans are to reopen the chapel in early May. ....
WAUKESHA - On Lee Kelley s first day on the job in early February, he could clearly see that a problem had crept into Prairie Home Cemetery s chapel building. Mice. Lots of mice. The city of Waukesha s new cemetery director wasn t entirely taken aback by the discovery he had seen mice infestations before but he knew this crowd of unwanted guests were hardly silent as a church mouse from a management standpoint. Actually, I had seen things like that before, so I wasn t quite shocked. I have been in a lot of situations in my career, both here and elsewhere, and my first reaction was we just need to address it, Kelly said Wednesday two days after an April 12 Cemetery Commission meeting where solutions to the problem were discussed. ....
Apr 14, 2021 MARQUETTE, MI – Sue Ann Burdick, age 70, of Marquette, passed away Sunday, April 11, 2021, at UP Health System-Marquette. Sue was born July 19, 1950, in Traverse City, a daughter of Stanley and Vida (Zimmerman) Miner. As a youth, Sue was somewhat of a very free spirit and enjoyed her early years. She graduated from Gull Lake High School, Class of 1968. Following graduation, Sue traveled and later began working as a nurses aide in local nursing homes in the Kalamazoo area. She later relocated to Marquette where she has resided for the past 28 years. Music was the source of her happiness along with her artistic talents and her love of reading. Sue had a great sense of humor, loved cracking jokes, and kept her humor until the very end. ....
