Multiple deaths linked to COVID-19 have been reported in Lubbock County every day this month and new cases continued to rise Thursday as the City of Lubbock confirmed 476 new coronavirus cases and 10 additional deaths. The 10 additional deaths brings this month's total to 136 with two weeks left in the month. In November, there were 152 deaths for the entire month. The lowest number reported per day has been two. Lubbock hospitals continued to see a decrease in hospitalized COVID-19 patients and now are treating 250 people, with 86 of those patients in intensive care. There were 26 open hospital beds after 41 beds opened for 15 patients who were waiting for beds.
