Magnetawan holds off on full transition to electronic voting

The days of people voting in their municipal and school board elections by manually dropping their ballot in a box are decreasing with each passing election as more municipalities make the switch to electronic voting. The 2022 municipal election in Magnetawan may be the last time voters in the village vote by mail.
Moving forward after the 2022 vote, the municipality is expected to switch to full electronic voting, giving individuals the choice to vote for their preferred candidates either by phone or internet.
