THE statement by former CM Harris that Nusantara, Indonesia’s new capital will benefit more than Sabah, Sarawak and Brunei is a fact. Sabah, Sarawak and Brunei will add another 8 million consumer goods for the economy of Nusantara. Harris pointed out that Sabah and Sarawak have nothing to offer economically to Nusantara. The improvement of communications between South and North Kalimantan will see free trade movements between South and North. Harris did mention the ongoing economic and infrastructure development of Kalimantan. Every province will further be better developed compared to Sabah and Sarawak and by 2030 these provinces will be fully developed. These are:- - There will be more freedom in all fields in Indonesia compared to Malaysia; - The building of the Pan Borneo Highway from Pontianak to Nunukan is almost completed; - Airports and Harbours are much larger and better compared to Sabah and Sarawak and their cabotage policy not self-defeating unlike ours
