Man charged with fatal shooting in Austin

A 24-year-old man has been charged with a fatal shooting last summer in Austin on the West Side.
Davonte Brown faces a count of first-degree murder, Chicago police said.
About 5 a.m. on Aug. 22, 31-year-old Devon Nelson was found unresponsive outside with a gunshot wound to the head in the 100 block of North Mayfield Avenue, according to police. He was taken to Loyola University Medical Center in Maywood, where he was pronounced dead.
Following an investigation, Brown was arrested after being identified as the person who fired shots at Nelson, police said.
Brown was expected to appear in court on the charge Sunday.
