Manipur launches Emergency Response Support System, 112 ready for dial
The CM of Manipur on Saturday launched the ERSS for emergency dialling by people in times of distress; declares 112 as the number for all services.

Imphal: The Manipur government on Saturday launched the Emergency Response Support System (ERSS) in the state for emergency calls in times of need. Launched by the Chief Minister N Biren Singh in 1st battalion Manipur Rifles premises in Imphal, the number '112' was declared as the emergency number in keeping with the Government of India's vision of integrating all emergency services with the same number.
