Marc Slotnick chosen by Kanawha County Commission 2024 | Kan

Current County Attorney Marc Slotnick will be appointed Kanawha County commissioner following the resignation of longtime commissioner Kent Carper.

Slotnick will serve the remainder of Carper's term until the winner of the November election — either Democratic nominee Natalie Tennant or Republican nominee Chris Walters — will take over and serve a six-year term.
