The court heard Sculac was driving when he clipped a car he had tried to overtake when it wasn't safe to do so. "The driver of that vehicle actually thought you were trying to push him off the road so braked," Judge Deborah Richards said. "And you shot past that vehicle and into a tree." Sculac's passenger was not injured but his car suffered significant damage. Sculac fled the scene, later telling police he was going to search for his two dogs. "I have some doubt about that situation because you didn't come back," Judge Richards said. Sculac on Monday pleaded guilty to dangerously operating a motor vehicle with the circumstance of aggravation, unlicensed driving and failing to supply his particulars.
