The Daily Jeffersonian With temperatures in southeastern Ohio rising this week, several inches of snow already on the ground following recent storms will be melting. Couple that with any rain in the forecast, and local waterways could be rising. The question is will they rise enough to cause widespread flooding? "We always watch for flooding and we monitor the creek levels, but I don't think flooding is a major concern at this time," said Guernsey County Emergency Management Agency Director Gerry Beckner. High temperatures during the week are forecast by The Weather Channel to be in the low 40s to the low 50s with highs of 51 degrees on Wednesday and Saturday and 50 degrees on Sunday.
