February 24, 2021 at 9:30am Metro is asking the public to weigh in on possible options for drastic service cuts, including potentially closing several Arlington stations in January 2022. With it, they are asking riders to fill out a survey about what options they’d be willing to deal with beginning on Jan. 1, 2022 if more federal money is not received. The options on the survey include closing Metrorail every day at 9 p.m, trains arriving only every 30 mins at most stations, and shuttering up to 22 stations that have low ridership or are near others. That list includes four stations in Arlington: Clarendon, Virginia Square, Arlington Cemetery, and East Falls Church.
