A pair of Senate-passed bills could mean you can put off that trip for a few years longer. Michigan residents have to get their driver’s licenses and ID cards renewed every four years. Under current law, have to show up in person at the Secretary of State’s office every eight years to get their picture retaken, but can renew online or by mail once after four years.
