The school announced on Tuesday that the new centers will be known as the Catherine Hershey Schools for Early Learning to honor the life and legacy of Catherine “Kitty” Hershey, wife of Milton Hershey and one of the founders of the Milton Hershey School, then known as the Hershey Industrial School, a home and school for orphaned children.
