THIS is with reference to a photograph carried by this newspaper (Feb 26) showing a French official being briefed by an officer of Pakistan Air Force (PAF) at the Rafiqui Base in Shorkot on the occasion of the 50th anniversary ceremony of the induction of Mirage aircraft into the PAF inventory. It was surprising that no report was carried about the ceremony to present colour to two operational squadrons that was held at a PAF base in which President Arif Alvi was the chief guest. The Chief of the Air Staff, Air Chief Marshal Mujahid Anwar Khan, was also present, and both the dignitaries spoke on the occasion.
