A Dawson Springs man who had been reported missing Thursday was found deceased along Interstate 69 early Sunday morning. Trooper Rob Austin with Kentucky State Police Post 2 in Madisonville reports they were contacted by the Hopkins County Sheriff’s Department around 1:00 a.m. that a deceased male was found off of the southbound lanes of travel near the 103-mile marker on I-69. When KSP arrived on the scene Trooper Austin says they confirmed the deceased male was 29-year old Michael “Andrew” Dowd who was reported missing Thursday. On Friday, State Police had requested help from the public to locate Dowd who was last seen around 1:00 Thursday morning at a residence on Wells Road in Nortonville.
