KALAMAZOO, MI (WKZO AM/FM) — A woman from the Kalamazoo area has been missing since Easter, and according to a family member, could be in danger. 36-year-old Lisa Perkins was last heard from on Sunday, April 4, and was supposed to be heading to Texas to visit her sister, Stefanie Graf.
Graf says she had phone conversations and messages with Lisa leading up to her disappearance that led her to believe that she could be currently held against her will. Family members say Lisa told them that several items were taken from her, including her birth certificate and Social Security card, by a man she said she was staying with. Her family says it sounded like a hostage situation as Lisa also told them that her phone activity was being monitored.
