Monmouth County has program to help veterans and active military Get our free mobile app "The one thing that we have to remember is these great beaches, the great freedom that we have, that just doesn't come, it comes because of the people that sacrificed for us and that's our Vets," Monmouth County Commissioner Director Tom Arnone said. "It's very important that we don't forget that." Monmouth County Clerk Christine Hanlon says it's a weekend to remember those who've served and made the ultimate sacrifice. "We always think about those who made the ultimate sacrifice for our freedoms and it also makes us think about our veterans, our gold star families and active military members," Hanlon said. "Let's all remember to support our members of the military, our veterans and those who made the ultimate sacrifice so they we can be free."
