Nadya Korytnikova February 04, 2021 08:43AM By Nadya Korytnikova, Record-Journal staff Berlin Public Schools received $641,868 from the latest wave of federal relief funding. Schools across the state were awarded a total of $492.4 million under the federal Elementary and Secondary School Emergency Relief Funds. Over $24 million went to New Britain, Berlin, and Farmington schools. The funding is designed to allow districts to reduce educational disparities among students that have been further exacerbated from the pandemic, and incorporate additional classroom support, including tutoring and summer school programs.
