Mothers and nurturers everywhere are appreciated: Sun Messages Updated 9:44 PM; SOUTH EUCLID, Ohio -- No one in this world makes it very far on their own. Having been a mother, and having had a very attentive mother (one who also knew when to step back), I know that I am just a sample of one. But interdependence in all things is key to understanding how much we need others in our lives -- and how much they need us. A friend of mine, a minister, once observed at Notre Dame College, on the lawn on a hot day, how my son Andrew would run and enjoy freedom, but he would periodically turn his head to make sure I was still there and still attentive to him. Andy was about 5 then, and I thought the minister’s observation was astute.
