View Comments After severe weather Sunday produced eight tornadoes, another round of storms Tuesday brought more damaging winds, hail and at least one tornado to parts of Mississippi. Parts of Texas, Louisiana, Mississippi, Alabama and Tennessee, along with corners of Arkansas and Georgia, were impacted by severe weather Tuesday. At least three people were killed in the South during the storms, according to an Associated Press story, including a Tennessee woman who was killed when a tree fell on her home. The weather Tuesday produced at least one tornado in Rankin County, according to a tweet by the National Weather Service in Jackson. The tornado was seen crossing U.S. Highway 49 near Piney Woods.
