When the president decided to suspend his campaign she had to launch her own campaign in one day. She then had a matter of weeks, even days to consolidate support, Unify Democrats and plan and lead a convention. She managed all of it with just tremendous success. And campaign for president , harris entered last Nights Debate with a immense task before her. The Vice President needed to navigate contradictory imperatives, shore up her democratic coalition and reaching out to the all important swing voters. Handle the lies and Mania And Weirdness of her unpredictable opponent and getting her message out to viewers, under higher expectations and pressure, Kamala Harris executed all of that flawlessly. And World Leaders are laughing at Donald Trump. I have talked with military leaders, some of whom worked with you and they say you are a disgrace. And when you then talk in this way in a president ial debate and deny what over and over and over again are Court Cases that you have lost because you did, in fact, lose that election, it leads one to believe that perhaps, we do not have in the candidate to my right, the temperment or the ability not to be confused about fact. What was your approach in that prep to playing trump . What are the kind of signature things that he does in debates that you were doing and then how was that kind of Gamed Out and prepared for . Reporter well, first, my role in it is the kind of sexy part of it. But i really just had to focus on the left side of the screen which is him. A team that helps the Vice President that was headed up by Karen Dunn it was amazing. Frictionless team. I worked with other teams it was great. The Vice President has great people around her. Not just two of them they co ran it. From my perspective you just want the candidate to get used to seeing and hearing it. It was that added oddity. Nice to meet you and 20 minutes later telling her how she is ruining america. What was your approach . What is the most important things to prepare for if you are debating trump . Like, the sort of go to moves, the things that might rattle someone who has not been in the same room with him . Reporter well, i would take it a step back. Debate in itself ideal form is a job interview. You have two people who are going for the same position who want to put their experience and their best foot forward, they want to be professional, they want to think about curveballs that might come their way. We have all been in that situation. What we have not been in, the other candidate is six feet to your left and they have a chainsaw and the only way they can wins by, you know, bloodying you up. The challenge there is, you know, you have to make decision that what she did Last Night that was so amazing is that she was not just pointing out things that might get under his skin she was making her case directly to the camera, to the american people. She was talking about her plans, what was also incredibly amazing she did something that No One Else has been able to do in the last year. Remind people that this guy actually served and has a record and that record is really bad. You talked about this, this Amnesia Issue is a problem. He starts out saying, you know, you completely screwed the border it has to be hold on, pal, you were there for four years you were in charge of the border and you promised us a wall and it is not there. And that has not happened enough. And it is important to lay out that case and third, i mean, for my own in terms of asking about prep, first of all, you know, we all get make up before we are on tv and the Makeup Artist here said you already have makeup on. You got it on your forehead, i can not get it off. It is so caked on. The Guy Uses like plaster of paris. Reading every word, there is something not not right up there. And you know, we will play a little selection. I think she was almost acting like she was watching it. Like she was kind of watching it on tv and saying hold on, dude. What about this. Because that is what she was doing is calling out facts. What is particularly, i think, telling when you show these clips of his whatever you want to call them, is they make no sense. So, fine, he is not rubiks cube, not hard to figure out. He is you push one thing and he falls apart. But if you say your Crowd Sizes are low and people leave why wouldnt you say that is not true. Thereat is very mean, i am really proud, they are the biggest things what he starts doing is a different level of insanity. You are revealing it is a subset. What he is saying has never been truthful. It has never been real. It has never been normal. It is decompensating.
