MT. OLIVE — Illinois Attorney General Kwame Raoul on Friday announced that Michael F. Curran, 69, of Mt. Olive, has been charged with possessing child pornography.
Curran was charged in Macoupin County Circuit Court with 10 counts of possession of child pornography, each a Class 2 felony punishable by up to three to seven years in prison. His bond is set at $100,000.
“Child pornography forever changes the lives of victims and their families, and those who perpetuate these horrific crimes must be held accountable,” Raoul said. “I would like to thank the Mt. Olive Police Department and the Macoupin County Sheriff’s office. Collaborations such as these are vital to my office’s efforts to track down and stop these offenders.”
