Sunday, 02 May 2021 - 9:56 The Sri Lanka Institute of Nanotechnology says that a new kit is being tested to confirm coronavirus infection. Its senior research scientist Dr. Sanjaya Bathige stated that using RT lamp technology, it is possible to get results in a short period of time through this new test kit. It also enables the general public to perform a coronavirus tests at an affordable price. The production of this new test kit has been approved by the National Drug Regulatory Authority. Successful laboratory tests have been carried out of the relevant test kits at the Institute of Allergy, Immunology and Cell Biology, University of Sri Jayewardenepura, Karapitiya Teaching Hospital, Borella Medical Research Institute and IDH.
