National Weather Service confirms multiple tornadoes touched down across NJ News 12 Staff Updated on: Jul 31, 2021, 2:38am The National Weather Service has confirmed that at least five tornadoes touched down in New Jersey on Thursday during a period of intense storms. The agency says that an EF-1 tornado touched down in the Windsor section of Robbinsville. The weather service also confirmed that an EF-2 tornado that touched down at the Washington Crossing Historic Park area in New Hope, Pennsylvania then crossed over the Delaware River into Mercer County. Peak winds clocked in at 115 mph. Three other tornadoes had already been confirmed in New Jersey, including two in Ocean County and one in Essex County.
