Needle exchange program begins Tuesday : vimarsana.com

The Christian County Health Department announced the beginning of The Exchange, an anonymous and confidential needle exchange program that will start on April 6 from 1-3 p.m., continuing every Tuesday.
According to the press release, participants can receive free HIV and HEP C testing, change used needles for new, clean needles and receive valuable resources.
The program will take place at CCHD.
The CCHD Board of Health voted in June 2020 to approve the program after seeing success from the Hopkins County Health Department’s similar program.
Hopkins County Health Department Director Denise Beach expressed their program’s success to the CCHD board meeting in June 2020.
