New device detects heat strain in military trainees : vimars

MIT Lincoln Laboratory developed a system that warns military recruits if they are at risk of a heat injury during training. The system uses a heart rate monitor to estimate its wearer's core body temperature and a smartwatch that alerts them if they are overheating.
