It has been a busy year for Daniel Craig, cancer outreach coordinator at Tammy Walker Cancer Center. He has been serving as the president of the Kansas Public Health Association (KPHA) during the COVID-19 pandemic crisis, which has put tremendous pressure on people who work in public health. And now in his role of outreach coordinator, Craig is promoting a new tobacco cessation resource. “While it has been a challenging year for public health, it’s also been an opportunity to show the important role we play,” Craig said. The Kansas Public Health Association is a professional organization for public health practitioners and advocates. This includes doctors, nurses, local and state administrators, academics, researchers and health foundations. The association is celebrating its 100th anniversary this year.
