New York Times sues Microsoft and OpenAI for using its content to train Copilot and ChatGPT

The New York Times has sued Microsoft and OpenAI, the makers of Copilot and ChatGPT, for using its content to train the generative AI tools without its permission or payment. It claims that the companies have called it “fair use” and have continued “copying the information” despite being confronted by the new publisher.
